INTRODUCTION TO FLIGHT
Basic techniques will cover the importance of connection, breath and form.
Sat 12:30pm-3:30pm, 4:30pm-7pm
ACROYOGA MAHA METTA:
The art of compassionate touch
Love is the most healing energy in the universe. Deepak Chopra
The Buddhist monks knew this, the Thai masters knew this and AcroYogis know this!
We clear our minds and become present with our breath in preparation to channel the ancient wisdom of Metta
loving kindness. Thai massage lays the foundation of compassionate touch, receptivity and communication. The techniques
learned on the floor will be taken to the air in the flying work. Flying can be a deeply transformational way to surrender to gravity
and to the support of a partner, allowing unnecessary holdings to be released. We will work in groups of three - base, flyer and spotter -
to ensure safety and to encourage teamwork. The dance of giving and receiving will leave everyone in the room floating with gratitude.
No partner needed, we ask that you have an intermediate yoga practice and the openness to turning your world upside down.
Sunday 12:30-3:30
INVERT, INVOLVE, EMPOWER
The Mystery of inversions is no match for the wisdom of acrobatic training techniques!
Students will learn the AcroYoga Asana sequence, which provides tools for
the understanding and embodiment of headstand and shoulderstand (the King and Queen of Asanas),
as well as forearmstand and handstand. After solidifying spotting techniques, we will progress to
Basic Partner Acrobatics and Pyramids, cultivating trust, strength and flexibility while working as a team.
A playful, safe, supportive environment will empower the whole room to be upside down and connect to the divine!
All levels, no partner necessary!
Early bird discount $200 if paid before Oct 11th.
